A Letter From Our Founder
Hi, I’m Abbey, founder of ABY Jewellery.
Ever since I was young, I have always been drawn to creating. You would often find me in my room singing, drawing, or making little beaded accessories, completely immersed in the joy of bringing something to life with my hands.
Growing up in Singapore, a vibrant and multicultural city, I was constantly surrounded by people from different cultures, each expressing themselves through unique jewellery. From locals to travellers, every piece I saw carried a story. This environment quietly shaped my appreciation for design and influenced my personal style over the years.
Some of my fondest memories are the moments spent with my mother, sitting together as she opened her jewellery box. Inside were pieces filled with history, emotion, and meaning. Some were gifts from my father, who always had a wonderful eye for jewellery. Others were passed down from my grandmother, and many were carefully collected by my mother from her travels around the world.
Those moments stayed with me.
Until today, my mother and I continue to bond over our shared love for jewellery. I still remember the feeling of receiving my first pair of earrings from her. It was more than just a gift. It was a memory, a connection, and a feeling I have never forgotten.
Today, one of my greatest joys is gifting jewellery to the people I love and seeing them wear it in their own lives. That feeling of giving, of creating something meaningful for someone else, is what led me to pursue a Diploma in Precious Metals Arts, where I studied gemstones and traditional metal-smithing techniques.
That journey eventually led to the creation of ABY Jewellery.
As a trained jeweller, understanding the foundations of precious metals and gemstones allows me to create jewellery that is not only beautiful, but thoughtfully crafted and made to last. At ABY Jewellery, we specialise in bespoke jewellery in Singapore, including custom engagement rings, wedding bands, and meaningful pieces designed for modern individuals.
My designs are inspired by a balance between vintage aesthetics and timeless classics, creating jewellery that feels effortless and wearable in everyday life. At the same time, I believe jewellery should also be expressive and bold when the moment calls for it.
The vision for ABY Jewellery has always been to create pieces that grow with you. Jewellery that celebrates your milestones, your relationships, and the different seasons of your life.
From my heart, I truly hope that everyone who wears ABY Jewellery finds a sense of joy the moment they put it on. A quiet confidence. A reminder that they are already enough, just as they are.
